New tool connects locals and visitors with dining, shopping, public art, and more
Ottawa, IL –Aug. 15, 2025— The Ottawa Downtown Association is excited to announce the launch of the Explore Downtown Ottawa interactive map, a new resource designed to showcase the vibrant businesses, attractions, and public art in the heart of historic downtown Ottawa.
Accessible on any smartphone, the map highlights locations for dining, retail, professional services, museums, parks, community organizations, religious institutions, government offices, public art, entertainment, and more. With just a tap, users can explore detailed listings, photos, and information about their favorite local spots—or discover new ones.
The map will be available via QR codes displayed on sidewalk stickers and window clings throughout downtown Ottawa, making it easy for visitors and residents to navigate and enjoy everything the district has to offer.
“We wanted to create a simple, interactive way for people to experience our downtown,” said Cassi Skoflanc, President of the Ottawa Downtown Association. “Whether you’re looking for a restaurant, a mural, or a community event, this map puts it all at your fingertips.”
